Membership of the Forum is open to Inverness and Nairn based individuals, statutory authorities, charitable organisations, voluntary groups and transport operators.
 

Steering group members.

The Forum operates under the chairmanship of Councillor Roddy Balfour, supported in this role by vice-chairman Councillor Norrie Donald. Most activity is guided by the steering group which includes Bob Edwards from the Highland Council, Sue Fenton from SCATA, and Willie Milne from Ardersier representing community transport. The Forum has one full time employee working in the rural Inverness and Nairn area, Rural Transport Development and Training Officer Jim McCreath. The Forums main role is in providing advice, support, and training to Community Transport groups throughout the Highlands and Islands.

Councillor Balfour represents Ardersier and Croy ward and has chaired the forum since the 2006 AGM, replacing Councillor Wynd.
