Welcome to our web-site. By working together, sharing ideas and knowledge, all in our community can contribute to the improvement of transport provision for Inverness, Nairn, and surrounding rural communities.

Geographically and historically transport has always been important to the Highlands, but in todays world of global business and growing awareness of social issues, there has never been greater emphasis on transport provision.

This forum intends to address these issues and open dialogue with all relevant organisations and individuals who can contribute to the betterment of our communities through improved transport.

It is intended that this site is used to inform interested parties on forthcoming events, issues of the day, transport news and training events. We have included a message board to allow discussion on a variety of topics. See contact us.

Re-Cycle: an exciting initiative providing free bicycles for commuters.

The Forum launched it's "Re-Cycle" initiative on the 12th of September.
This project offers free bicycles to commuters coming into Inverness by bus or train, allowing them to complete their journey to work by bike. The project will be based in the Rose Street multi-storey car park, and will also be available to those whose car is essential but would like to "Park and Pedal" as a their contribution to keeping our city centre free of congestion. To access these bikes you must register using the attached form. When you book a bike by phone, you will be given a code for your bikes lock, simply pick up your bike and return it after work.
Users are responsible for security of bike at place of work.
Bicycles are supplied by Northern Constabulary.
Locks supplied by "safeinverness"
Bicycles managed and maintained by MP33.
Site provided by Highland Council.
Funded  by HITRANS.
